Prof John Greenwood (SKIN TE) (L), with Dr Marcus Wagstaff of the Royal Adelaide Hospital (R)

SKIN Tissue Engineering’s Prof John Greenwood, together with Dr Marcus Wagstaff of the Royal Adelaide Hospital, recently won “Best in Category – Wounds” for their Poster, Changing Practice in the surgical management of major burns-delayed definitive closure, at the American Burn Association (ABA) meeting in Chicago.

Their Poster outlines the improved outcomes achieved by delaying the closure of the wound through skin grafting by using NovoSorb BTM to temporise the wound. Autologous grafting is the accepted standard of care, but the use of NovoSorb BTM is changing that.
