PolyNovo Biomaterials Pty Ltd

PolyNovo Biomaterials Pty Ltd (PolyNovo) is a global medical device company that delivers improved patient outcomes through the use of their NovoSorb biodegradable polymer technology. Their vision is to provide unique and innovative regenerative products for burns, surgical wounds, hernia repair, trauma, orthopaedics and reconstructive surgery.

SKIN TE’s Professor John Greenwood co-invented PolyNovo’s NovoSorb BTM technology for the purpose of surgical wounds and burn injury.

SKIN TE works in collaboration with PolyNovo by utilising their NovoSorb BTM as a platform to design and develop the Cultured Composite Skin (CCS) product for the treatment of a full thickness burn.


South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI) – Preclinical, Imaging & Research Laboratories (PIRL)

SAHMRI PIRL works with researchers, clinicians and pharmaceutical companies to facilitate all stages of preclinical research from proof-of-concept and efficacy to clinical translation and meeting regulatory requirements for safety/toxicity.

SKIN TE is working closely with SAHMRI PIRL to undertake the project’s large animal studies.
